Interaction has a number of Psychologists and Provisional Psychologists who are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and who have been extensively trained in the area of Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS).

Our team of practitioners come from a range of backgrounds and experience, take a positive approach to allied health and behaviour support, and are highly skilled in the provision of support required for people with PWS.  It is important to note that Interaction’s Behaviour & Allied Health Services (BAHS) team not only provides services to people with PWS, we can also talk to other family members, siblings etc, who may also need advice during a difficult time.

Behavioural and psychological therapeutic supports may be required in order to support individuals with PWS to reach their life goals.  Interaction’s BAHS team take a positive approach to behaviour support.  Assessment and intervention can be provided in a number of areas such as:

• Functional behaviour
• capacity to consent
• Intelligence
• Mental health screening
• Intervention plans
• Clinical consultation
• Therapy
• Early intervention

Interaction’s practitioners assist people to build relationships and participate in the community. They work collaboratively with individuals, families and carers to improve their ongoing relationships.  We provide specialised early intervention, individual and group therapies that can flexibly meet your child’s current and future needs, and can be part of a trans-disciplinary team.
